Lead Curator AUB International Collective Exhibition 2025
As the Lead Curator of the AUB International Collective Exhibition 2025, I directed the conceptual and spatial framework, shaping a cohesive narrative that explored the dialogue between artworks, space, and audience engagement. Collaborating with a team of student volunteers, I developed a curatorial approach that emphasized storytelling through spatial relationships and materiality, ensuring a dynamic and immersive visitor experience.
Working under the guidance of Violet M McClean (Sailchuach Nic Ghiolla Eoin), I refined my skills in exhibition design, curatorial research, and strategic decisionmaking, integrating visual storytelling with spatial perception. This curatorial practice is deeply informed by my artistic background, where form, material, and conceptual depth are central to both my art and exhibition-making.
The exhibition, running from March 14 – May 8, 2025, at Northwest Gallery, AUB, reflects my ability to merge conceptual rigor with spatial innovation, translating my intuitive understanding of material interactions into an engaging curatorial experience.
Gallery Assistant The Gallery AUB
My experience as a Gallery Assistant at The Gallery AUB strengthened my understanding of how emerging technologies intersect with artistic expression. I contributed to the realization of Design; Disruption; Divergence – Exploring AI’s Role in Creativity, an exhibition that challenged conventional ideas of creativity, authorship, and artistic identity in the digital age.
Working alongside Violet M McClean, Jennifer Anyan, Edwar Ward, and Jordan Cutler, I engaged with the installation, conceptual framing, and audience experience, helping to craft a narrative that explored the evolving relationship between AI, design processes, and artistic disruption. This exhibition deepened my interest in how materiality, both digital and physical, informs artistic dialogue, which mirrors my approach to jewelry and sculpture—where material, process, and conceptual storytelling are inseparable.
On display until April 24, 2025, at The Gallery AUB, this exhibition reinforced my ability to integrate research-driven, interdisciplinary themes into my curatorial work, blending fine art, technology, and conceptual inquiry into an immersive experience.
Curatorial Assistant The Gallery AUB
My role in Purbeck, Penwith and Purnululu: Paintings and Drawings from the Recent Past—a two-day exhibition celebrating Paul Gough’s 40-year legacy in arts education—allowed me to refine my approach to curatorial interpretation, spatial storytelling, and exhibition design.
Curated by Violet M McClean, the exhibition showcased seven distinct bodies of work that explored place, memory, and materiality. Gough’s process—anchored in observation, mark-making, and layering—resonated deeply with my own artisticpractice, where I investigate the relationships between form, time, and narrative in both jewelry and fine art.
This experience reinforced my commitment to curating with an emphasis on material and spatial relationships, bridging my artistic sensibilities with exhibitionmaking. Through each of these curatorial projects, I continue to explore how material presence, conceptual storytelling, and spatial interaction shape the viewer’s experience—whether in an exhibition, a sculptural form, or a wearable piece.
