Collaboration with Bodyscape – Jewelry & Movement

During my participation in Following of Design; Disruption; Divergence – Exploring AI’s Role in Creativity exhibition, I connected with Bodyscape, a collective of dance artists exploring movement in relation to AI. We saw a strong resonance between my work and their exploration of human-AI interrelation. This sparked a powerful collaboration, merging material, body, and motion in unexpected ways.

Eager to understand how others interact with my pieces without prior knowledge of their intent, I observed how the dancers’ movements transformed my jewelry into extensions of their physical expression. They wore my pieces as they performed, allowing me to investigate the dynamic interplay between body, object, and movement. Observing them interact with my pieces revealed new possibilities for wearable sculptures that respond to motion. This collaboration was an immersive dialogue—one that expanded the boundaries of both jewelry and performance art, deepening my exploration of interaction, materiality, and perception.

Curatorial Collaboration: A Collective Vision

As the lead curator for the AUB International Collective exhibition, I had the privilege of working closely with a dedicated team of student volunteers—Achilles, Ananta, Julia, Liza, and Lexi. This collaborative process was not only essential in shaping the exhibition’s final outcome but also deeply enriching, as it fostered a dynamic exchange of perspectives, skills, and creative approaches.

Together, we navigated the curatorial journey—from conceptualizing the exhibition’s overarching narrative to selecting works, designing spatial arrangements, and engaging with artists. Each team member contributed their unique insights, making the process both intellectually stimulating and rewarding. Our collaboration was built on open dialogue, critical thinking, and problem-solving, allowing us to create a cohesive exhibition that honored the diversity of artistic practices represented.

Through this experience, I refined my leadership and teamwork skills, ensuring that the curatorial process remained inclusive and responsive to the evolving needs of the exhibition. Balancing curatorial intent with the organic development of ideas within the team, I embraced adaptability and collective decision-making as key components of my curatorial practice. This project reinforced my belief that curation is not a solitary act but a shared, evolving dialogue between space, artwork, and audience—a principle that continues to shape my approach to exhibition-making.
